Banana Bread Special Syrup

(Makes multiple servings)

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup water
1 tbsp bourbon vanilla bean paste (added after cooking)

Instructions

Simmer the Base

In a saucepan, combine bananas, brown sugar, cinnamon, and water.
Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, stirring often.

Break It Down

Reduce heat and simmer 7–10 minutes, until bananas soften and the mixture thickens slightly.

Blend & Strain

Blend until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve for a velvety syrup.

Finish with Vanilla

Once slightly cooled, stir in bourbon vanilla bean paste.

Store It

Pour into a jar and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Pro Tips

  • Not just for coffee — this syrup is elite on waffles, oatmeal, or ice cream.

  • If bananas aren’t ripe enough, bake them at 350°F for 15–30 minutes until the skins turn shiny black.
