Ingredients
0.8 lb ribeye steak (≈ 12.8 oz raw)
1 bunch asparagus (≈ 8 oz)
1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)
1 tbsp herbed butter (for finishing)
Salt & cracked black pepper
Instructions
Ribeye
Season generously with salt and cracked black pepper.
Heat a cast iron pan over high heat with olive oil.
Sear ribeye 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare.
Lower heat slightly and baste as needed.
Remove from pan and rest with a pat of herbed butter on top.
Asparagus
Trim woody ends.
Toss asparagus with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Roast in oven at 425°F for ~13 minutes, flipping halfway.
Plate Build
Lay asparagus as the base.
Slice ribeye and place over top.
Let the herbed butter melt down and finish the plate.
